Proof of vaccination required in select settings starting September 22

As Ontario continues to fight the fourth wave of the pandemic driven by the Delta variant, the government is taking action to protect Ontarians and encourage every eligible person to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Starting September 22, Ontarians will be required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to access certain businesses and settings. Requiring proof of vaccination will help increase vaccination rates, protect individuals in higher-risk indoor settings, and keep businesses open.

Unvaccinated individuals are 24 times more likely to be hospitalized and 43 times more likely to be in ICU, than fully vaccinated Ontarians. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect ourselves and our loved ones from COVID-19 and the Delta variant.

In advance of the proof of vaccination requirement coming into effect on September 22nd, members are asked to raise awareness of the requirements for customers and businesses and encourage Ontarians to download their proof of vaccination by using the resources and social posts provided.
