Ontario Eccelerates Essential Construction Projects April 8

The government is now temporarily (April 8) limiting local noise bylaws to allow essential construction projects and services related to health care to proceed at any time of the day or night – including new facilities, expansions, renovations and conversion of spaces that could be re-purposed for health care space. All other essential construction is permitted from 6 a.m. to 10.p.m, seven days a week.  These changes will help ensure that important health care related construction projects, like expansion of hospitals, are completed during the outbreak. It will also help speed up the building of new facilities needed to provide health services in response to COVID-19.
