Drivers Auto Insurance Relief - April 16

The Government is acting to ease the financial pressures faced by the people of Ontario during the COVID-19 outbreak by enabling auto insurance companies to provide relief to their customers.

By amending a regulation under the Insurance Act, insurance companies will be able to provide auto insurance premium rebates to consumers for up to 12 months after the declared emergency has ended. This change means that insurers can expand the relief options they are providing to their customers during the COVID-19 outbreak.
